Water Recycling: Easywash is the first carwash in the Lower Mainland to implement a complete water recycling program. Using a sophisticated water reclamation system Easywash captures and recycles nearly 85% of the water used in the wash process. The remainder either evaporates or is carried away with the vehicle.
Just because our water is free (it comes from our water well) doesn't mean we should waste it.
Once the water has been used to wash cars it drains into the in floor bay sumps and is directed out into three storage tanks in the driveway where it is cleaned in a three stage recycling process.

The water is directed through a settlement tank which allows "solids" like mud & dirt to settle to the bottom of the tank effectively removing it from the water supply |
|
2. |
The water is gravity fed into an Oil Water Separator. This process removes and petroleum based effluent from the water. Petroleum contaminants can come from brake dust, leaky engines, gas overflow, batteries etc. |

Next the water is directed to a flush/circulation tank. The water in this tank is continually circulated through our reclamation unit. This machine removes naturally occurring "bad" bacteria and removes any fine particulate in the water as small as 5 microns in diameter (very small). Additionally all of the rain water from our roofs (main building, dogwash and canopy) is directed into this tank to flush and augment any water that can not be effectively cleaned or evaporates. |
The water is now available for use in certain functions of our carwash where "pure" water is not required such as our undercarriage wash, wheel wash and some high pressure rinse cycles.
Recycled water is totally safe and will not harm your vehicle in any way. |
